Who you are most likely to fantasize about!!!
Our brains fantasize about everything from how we’re going to stand up to our boss to what our dream engagement would be like to making out with that cute guy from the corner coffee shop, but new research reveals there’s one person we tend to fantasize about more than anyone else. Justin Lehmiller is a Research Fellow at The Kinsey Institute and while researching his new book, “Tell Me What You Want: The Science of Sexual Desire and How It Can Help You Improve Your Sex Life,” he found that most of us actually fantasize about our own partners the most.
The author surveyed over 4,000 people and found that “nine out of ten said they had fantasized about a current romantic partner before” and nearly two-thirds of people in relationships said they fantasize about their current partners often. On the flip side, less than one in ten people surveyed say they fantasize frequently about Hollywood celebs, porn stars, or other famous people.
And it makes sense that we’d have our own partners on the brain, we care about that person, feel comfortable with them, and have probably already done some hot and sexy things with them. So it’s like our brains are picking from what we already know when creating sexual fantasies. Of course, it’s totally normal to think about other people, too, but it’s probably more comforting to think about the person we’re already having sex with in real life.
