While a lot of people are still working from home, many have started returning to the office with social distancing measures in place. For many that includes mandatory mask wearing throughout the day, and new survey reveals how people feel about that.
According to the new poll:
- 60% of those surveyed say their company requires masks to be worn at all times and in all areas.
- 25% only require them in communal areas.
- 4% say masks are voluntary, but they plan to wear one.
- Another 4% say they are voluntary and they won’t be wearing one.
As for how they feel about those masks, it seems most people are on board with it.
- 81% say they are okay with wearing a mask in the office
- 51% say they’ll wear one as long as it’s necessary.
- But 15% of people think having to wear a mask all day is too much.
- 16% have no issue wearing one at work short term, but wouldn’t be happy with a long-term policy of mask wearing.
- 7% insist their job would suffer if they had to wear a mask.
- 5% are totally against wearing a mask, and believe it inhibits their freedom and human rights.
But regardless of COVID guidelines, some aren’t actually ready to return to the office at all.
- 25% say they are entirely comfortable return.
- 37% are somewhat comfortable, but have concerns about the risk.
- Another 25% are totally not comfortable with returning to the office at this time.
