Dolly Parton was a guest on The Late Show last night and managed to bring Stephen Colbert to tears.
While talking about her mother and how she fostered her love for music when she was child, Dolly broke into an impromptu performance of "Bury Me Beneath the Willow,” which she says her mother sang to her as a child. When the camera panned back to Colbert, he was wiping tears from his eyes. The host told her, "Like a lot of Americans, I’m under a lot of stress right now, Dolly! You got under my trip wire right there, that was pretty beautiful.”
